At the end of your cruise through the waters, you will get to see the Seabright lighthouse which is open twenty-four hours a day.
Twin Lakes State Beach In Santa Cruz
Twin Lakes State Beach in Santa Cruz is an excellent beach for swimming, snorkeling and other water activities. The beach is located at 9th Avenue and East Cliff Drive, in the Live Oak neighborhood of Santa Cruz. This beach has been a popular location for swimming and other water activities for years. There are several excellent waves to surf on, including good beginner waves and the big break that came when you hit the largest wave of the year. In addition, the beach offers year-round fishing, wakeboarding, and parasailing. If you are looking for great places to go diving, snorkeling, or just to look at the exotic marine life, there is so much to see and do. You can even charter a fishing boat from the beach to enjoy the sunset and fireworks on the water.
If you enjoy spending time outdoors, one of the best things to do while in Sunny Cove is taking a hike on the famous Pacific Beach Trail. This walking trail is one of the most scenic and challenging hikes in California, if not the United States. The trail starts by walking along the shoreline with the surf behind you. However, after you pass through some wooden bridges, turn left and walk to the start of the trail. On your way, you will pass under an archway and come to what appears to be a huge rock wall. You will then see a sign for the Santa Cruz County Trail on your left, which leads you to a grassy knoll where you can catch a good view of the sunset.
Pleasure Point Beach
Pleasure Point Beach is one of the best beaches in Santa Cruz. It has all the elements to make a good day at the beach fun and exciting. While most beaches offer a wide variety of activities, Pleasure Point Beach offers plenty of things to do, from swimming to surfing and snorkeling, to lounging on the golden sand. Most importantly, though, it offers some great places to lie down, relax, and sunbathe.
The ideal dog-friendly Pleasure Point beach lies in Santa Cruz at Deep Point Park, in the south end of the coastal city of Santa Cruz. Though the beach isn’t particularly popular for its coastlines or scenic beauty or its open stretch of sand, the main reason that draws crowds to this place are the fantastic surfing areas with strong, white-washed waves flowing over the water. There are also other things to do on the Pleasure Point beach besides just surfing, including walking along the beach and taking in the beautiful view of the rocky cliffs above. If you happen to want to get a tan, there are also some shady benches along the beach’s south end where you can lay back with a cold beverage and look out to sea. The nearby Deep Point Park has many nature trails where you can stroll and get a tan while listening to the sounds of waves rolling in.
To the immediate east of Pleasure Point Beach is the Grisselwood Shores State Historic Park, a great place to take the kids to have a picnic or to hike. If you’re looking for more of a cultural experience, though, you’ll find the Seaport Village, a group of crab fishermen, huts, stores, and restaurants that draw in a variety of visitors, some from within the city and others from out of the area. For the most part, though, Pleasure Point Beach and its neighboring beaches are great places for families and adults to go for a day or two at some of Florida’s best beaches. It just makes sense to head to Venice during the summer to escape the sweltering heat of Florida!

Seacliff State Beach
Seacliff State Beach in Santa Cruz is a wonderful public state beach resort located in the city of Aptos, just south of Monterey Bay, California. It’s located right off the coast of Highway 1 in State Park Drive, about five miles from Santa Cruz. The beach is well known for its beautiful concrete sea monster, the SS Pacemaker. Other attractions include the Seacross World Cruise, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Seacliff State Beach Park.
Most of the fun at Seacliff State Beach occurs in and around the two heavily populated Aptos areas – the Pacific Ocean on one end and the Embarcadero on the other. Nearby are many well-known wineries such as the famous vineyards of Placerville and Belvedere. There are also some very popular shopping sites including the Seacliff Plaza and Pritchard Park. You can fish at the Seacliff State Beach or at nearby San Fransisco’s Pier.
There are a number of great attractions to do at Seacliff State Beach, which makes it a popular destination with tourists and locals alike. You can visit the infamous Seacliff Petroglyph National Park. Here you’ll walk through ancient rock petroglyphs that are located near the beach. Other things to do include taking a hiking adventure to the various picnic areas and hiking up the rocky cliffs of the beach. Alternatively, you can fish off the many steel traps or just lie on the beach and enjoy the sun.
Panther Beach
If you are looking for an unspoiled beach in Santa Cruz with things to do, look no further than Panther Beach. Not the only completely secluded beach on this stretch of road, but also one very well-liked by tourists. In spite of its name, it is child-friendly, although there are rules regarding sunscreen, dogs, and another no-no. The official policy states no pets, amongst other no-nos, however, many have found that it’s quite often, especially around sunrise, that they are dog-free. There is also a nice area to hike where you can find beautiful views with the family and enjoy the day with a workout.
The cove at the western end of the beach has a very nice playground for children, plus a nice sheltered pavilion. From here, the path to the lighthouse starts, and from here, you can take a leisurely stroll watching Bald Cypress trees and wildlife. If you want a taste of older-school Santa Cruz surfing, the best day to go is Thursday, when the tide is low and the surf is big. At about sunset, pelicans come ashore for a drink at the cove’s soft sand. For those who like to watch birds, pelicans are very common near the beach on spring and fall nights, and as they come ashore, they allow birdwatcher’s a great opportunity to watch them land and make their way back into the sea.
As you can see, there are many reasons to head to Panther beach, though the most important reason is its natural beauty. To the north, you can find Mount Ocky, with its wild and scenic trails that wind around the steep north end of the beach. Hikers also adore the terrain of the beach, which is long, with lots of hills and gentle slopes to keep those tired legs working. And, to the north, the view of Capistrano Lighthouse will let you know just how much the place has changed over the years.

If you want to spend your time more in the water, then you should try your luck at sea kayaking. You can rent a kayak and try your luck competing in races or simply relaxing on the surface of the water. There are also things to do on land near the beach such as fishing, playing miniature golf, or visiting the nearby aquarium.
