Best Time For You To Visit Oregon | Complete Tourist Guide

Best time of year to visit Oregon:

Well, the answer depends on what you want to see. In my opinion, it is a complete waste of time going in summer, but if you are going to sightseeing places, then summer is your best bet.

The best month to visit Oregon:

The best time for you to visit Oregon in October and September. These two months are rain-free, and the waterfalls will be at their best. June, July, and August are also good as it doesn’t rain too much, but you should avoid visiting in summer as there will be many people on the roads. However, if you want some shelter from crowded places, then go for either January or February as tourist flow decreases during these months.

Best season to visit:

Fall is your best bet if you want to do outdoor activities like camping, fishing, hiking, etc. You can even join the whale watching tours during this time of year, another major attraction in Oregon.

Spring and summer have good weather, although summers may get slightly hot. The best time of year to visit Oregon is from October to March, as these are your shoulder seasons, and you can enjoy various outdoor activities. I would recommend staying in the spring (April-May) or fall (September-October).

 High tourist season:

All the months from June to September are peak times, and you will find it difficult to get a good hotel room. The best peak time of year is July and August, when many people flock to Oregon to enjoy its scenic beauty and outdoor activities.

 Low tourist season:

January and February are perfect for sightseeing as the prices are lower, crowd levels are lower, and many open attractions.

Public Holidays to avoid:

It is best to avoid public holidays, but make sure that you book your hotel room in advance if you want to go. You can also watch out for Presidents Day Weekend (the third weekend of February), Winter Break/Spring break (from the last week of December to the first week of January), and Memorial Weekend (last weekend of May).

 Visit Oregon in Fall:

The weather is at its best in fall. It’s neither too hot nor too cold. You get to see all the beauties of Oregon, including autumn leaves, also known as ‘fall colors.’

Although it is not too hot, June, July, and August are the warmest months in Oregon. The weather is comfortable, which makes outdoor activities more enjoyable.
