is a section of San Juan with many bars, clubs, and restaurants. It’s known as the “chic” area of town, so it’s usually full of people wearing upscale clothes. If you’re not staying on this street, you should stop by to people watch.
Club LQ :
This club is located inside the Queen Hotel and has a strict dress code. It’s known for being very chic, upscale, and clean. Hours are Thursday- Sunday 10 PM-5 AM.
Havana Café :
This club is located on Calle Loíza and has live music every night.
Margarita’s :
On Calle San Francisco, this club, bar and restaurant is open seven days a week from 11AM-6AM. There’s a dance floor in the back with a balcony overlooking it to watch people go by. However, sometimes there isn’t much room on the dance floor, so you have to muscle your way in between people just for fun.
The Black Eagle :
On Calle Fortaleza this bar is open Monday- Sunday 5PM-3AM. It has a large coctel area which is great for sitting outside and watching drunk tourists zoom by on their rented scooters.
El Patio :
On Calle San Sebastián, is one of the most popular bars in San Juan. It’s open daily 7 AM-3 AM and has live music starting at 10 PM.
Hard Rock Café :
This bar is located on Calle Fortaleza, right next to El Patio. The music starts at 10 PM and goes until 3 AM, and there’s often a live band playing on the balcony. It has three floors: one for dancing, one for drinking and one with several TVs to watch sports while you eat dinner.
Mango’s :
Located at 70 Cristopher Columbus, this bar is open 7 days a week, 10 AM-5 AM with live music every Wednesday through Saturday.
Rock N’ Sake :
On Calle San Sebastián, this restaurant and lounge have a menu full of Japanese food along with sake, sushi, and steak. It’s open Monday-Thursday 11 AM-3 AM, Friday-Saturday 11 AM-4 AM, and Sunday 11 AM-2 AM.
La Placita de Santurce:
This bar is located on Calle Muñoz Rivera, right behind the cruise port of San Juan. It’s open Saturday-Thursday 5 PM-3 AM, Friday 3 PM-3 AM and has a dance floor.
El Condado:

On Avenida Ashford, this bar is known to have happy hour seven days a week from 4 PM-7 PM. It has shown every Friday and Saturday night at 10 PM for a $10 cover charge. The restaurant is also open until 3 AM nightly.

On Avenida Isla Verde this restaurant has live music on Thursdays through Sundays from 6 PM-9:30 PM to celebrate their national food and music.

This sports bar has shows every Thursday-Saturday from 9 PM-1 AM. It’s open Wednesday through Monday 11 AM-3 AM and is located on Avenida Isla Verde across the street from El Condado beach.
Medianoche Restaurant & Lounge:
On Calle Padre Rufo, this restaurant serves traditional Puerto Rican food and has live music every other Saturday starting at 9 PM.
Jazz Cafe :
On Avenida Isla Verde, this restaurant has live jazz five nights a week from Monday-Saturday. The show starts at 10 PM every night except Fridays where it goes set earlier at 8 PM. It’s open daily until 3 AM.
Los Diablos Cuban Bar & Grill :
This bar is located in Calle Carolina near the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It has live music every Thursday-Saturday starting at 9 PM featuring salsa or reggaeton. This place is really popular among locals for its mojitos and rum drinks which the bartenders are known to make strong, but great.
Venus Pool & Sports Club:
On Avenida Isla Verde, this bar is located right next to the water and has a fabulous view of the beach. It’s open daily 7 AM-3 AM and has live music on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 PM – 1 AM. The place gets lively after 10 PM when there’s a DJ playing reggaeton and salsa music. There’s also a cover charge of around $10 at night, but that includes free entrance into their nightclub which goes from 11PM-4AM every day
Casinos:

Located on Avenida Baldorioty de Castro, this is one of the oldest casinos in Puerto Rico and it’s been open for more than 25 years. It has slot machines from 0.05 to 3$ as well as blackjack tables Tuesday-Saturday from 4 PM-3 AM, but closed on Sundays and Mondays.
El San Juan Hotel & Casino :
On Avenida Isla Verde, this casino has live poker games daily starting at 8 PM along with multiple restaurants where guests can enjoy their favorite delicacies in an elegant setting. The casino is open daily 7 AM-4 AM Monday through Sunday.
Casino Pier :
Located on Avenida Luis Muñoz Rivera, this casino has blackjack tables open daily from 4 PM-3 AM along with slot machines that are open 24 hours. It’s closed on Sundays. The restaurant inside the casino is open Sunday through Thursday 11 AM-10PM and Friday through Saturday 11 AM-12 AM. They have many great food options including Italian cuisine as well as traditional Puerto Rican fare, but they require a $20 cover charge if you plan to only eat at their establishment.
El Gran Bingo :
Closed every Monday, this place is located on Avenida Isla Verde. It offers bingo games at different times during the day (8AM, 10AM, 12PM, 3PM and 8PM) as well as other activities like pool tables, slot machines and dancing shows.
Bingo Pier :
This place is open daily from 9 AM-4 AM Sunday through Thursday and 9 AM-5 AM Friday through Saturday. They even offer all night bingo on Fridays starting at 5 PM! For those who don’t know how to play bingo, a brief orientation will be done by a volunteer before each game starts so people can learn their way around this popular parlor game .
Casa Lottso: On Calle Julia de Burgos, this is another popular local bingo parlor that has live music and dancing shows on certain days as well as various restaurant options.
